Job Title: LD Nurse: Project/Area Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible to meet the needs of the service (including weekends, public holidays, on-call)
Reports to: Director
We require an Enthusiastic, Responsible, Positive and Motivated person to join our team.
Magic Life is a successful and expanding Supported Living provider in North London. We support a wide range of people with various physical/ learning disabilities and people with mental health.
Magic Life is planning to open a further 8 homes within a time scale of 18 months
JOB SUMMARY:
To assist in managing and coordinating the service ensuring the delivering of high-quality care and support for People with Learning Disabilities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the support team to ensure that residents’ physical, emotional and social needs are identified and met through assessment and care planning.
To encourage effective working relationships within the project and with the multi-disciplinary team to promote a high-quality service.
To assist in the management of a defined staff team including the supervision of staff and leading of shifts on a day-to-day basis.
Lead, manage and develop the work of the staff team, under the supervision of the Registered Manager, by setting objectives and supervising staff.
Ensure that records relating to clients are understood, acted upon by all staff and that they are reviewed on a regular basis.
To assist the Registered Manager by leading the care team in achieving and exceeding, care standards determined by CQC, Local Authority Contract Monitoring
The successful candidate for this Learning Disability Nurse post will need to meet the following criteria:
- Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD with up to date NMC registration
- Experienced in leadership/management
- Confident undertaking assessments and in all aspects of care management
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and an effective leader
